I am attempting to configure a BizTalk Server group (BizTalk Server 2009, on Windows Server 2008, and SQL Server 2008) on a multi-machine, network configuration with domain groups. I was able to configure the ESSO master secret server on the SQL VM and the ESSO service on the BizTalk VMs. The BizTalk Group configuration (attempted from one of the BizTalk Server VMs) is failing.
I have verified the following conditions:
1. All firewalls are OFF
2. All MSDTC configurations on the network, are identical per the MS recommendations in the BizTalk Multi-machine installation guide.
3. I can successfully DTCPing form the BizTalk Server VM and the SQL Server VM
4. My MSDB database does not report any corruption.
5. The configuration account has proper membership in the domain groups, is a local admin on all VMs and a SysAdmin on the SQL Server
6. The ....\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2009\Schema\msgboxlogic.sql file successfully parses in the SQL Management Studio.
7. the SSODB is created.
When I attempt to configure the BizTalk Group I receive a failure:
"Failed to create subscription database BizTalkMsgBoxDb on server..... Access Denied
SQL Script file: ....\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2009\Schema\msgboxlogic.sql"
SQL Command Bath: "CREATE PROCEDURE [dbo].[bts_PurgeSpool] AS declare @nvcJobName nvarchar(256) set...."
I can see in the Configuration Log File that the 3 BizTalk databases are created but then deleted (rolled back).
The log file also contains WMI related failure traces.
The same failure is observed when I attempted the configuration from a second BizTalk VM on the network.
Does my configuration account need any special rights (security policies) regarding WMI?
Any help towards the resolution of the above issue will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you
